The first public art depot in the world with 151,000 works of art collected in 172 years collected. On 5 November 2021, the opening was officially performed by King Willem Alexander. The very special building is a design by architect Winy Maas of MVRDV architects. Van Beem and Van Haagen took care of the wayfinding to a design by Silo. Various techniques were applied. From painting floor figures of 3.4 meters high directly on the walls to illuminated objects integrated into glass windows. The designed wayfinding of bureau Silo has an industrial look and is completely attuned to the striking building in terms of design language.
